Monster
Hey, everyone. I'm reviewing the very first Monster Energy drink to be released. This is by far the most popular energy drink on the market today because of its advertising, original taste, and powerful kick. This Monster comes in a 16 oz. can, as many energy drinks do. However, Monster also sells their energy drink in 24 oz. sizes and 32 oz. sizes called B.F.C.'s. This is a classic Monster and as many people know, a very tasty drink. Monster tries to stick with a basic can design, which is a large green 'M', with a simple back background. I'm predicted a smooth maybe green apple taste, with a hint of some pear. Of course I've tried Monster before, but I really do not remember much about it.
After much excitement, I popped the can open and got a subtle apple-raspberry aroma, with some sweetness. As usual, I have a cup to pour my energy drink in. The liquid that comes out of the can is an amber color, almost like beer, but lighter. It tastes a bit like I mentioned earlier, like green apple and subtle raspberry. I personally prefer it chilled, only because it gives it a more crisp taste, but your choice. The aftertaste is not strong at all with a weak pear flavor. This beverage doesn't have HFCS, or high fructose corn syrup, an common sweetener made from corn that tastes quite dull, but instead has sucrose (table sugar), and glucose. That's most likely what I enjoy about this drink, is its genuine sugar contained in it. However, this drink does get somewhat bitter towards the end of the drink, so it easy. Overall, this is one great drink, everyone would be able to enjoy it, without a problem.
In terms of supplements, the Monster's got Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Calcium, and all that good stuff. I prove my point when I say Monster is crazy on kick. Per can you get 2000 mg of taurine, which is sure to keep you awake and alert. As far as energy blends (L-Carnitine, Glucose, Caffeine, Guarana, Inositol, Glucuronolactone, Maltodextrin) you'll get 5000 mg of that good stuff, which is about average for a an every day energy drink. Lastly, I notice sugar is included on the supplement facts, coming in at 54g per can, not too shabby. Like I said earlier, this is an incredible drink that deserves more than it already has, so you CANNOT miss out on this one.
If you are going in for your first energy drink, this Monster is definitely the way to go.
